Abstract

Cat bite is more difficult to treat than dog bite because there are sharp and slender teeth cause deep soft tissue infection and bacteria inoculation. Most of cat bite wound require empirical antibiotics and surgical treatment for severe case. We reported a case of 23-weeks pregnant woman with cat bite who couldn¡¯t use antibiotics and doesn¡¯t receive appropriate treatment during 1 month after trauma. In pregnant woman couldn¡¯t use appropriate antibiotics, so we did aggressive surgical treatment. The result was successful with satisfactory control of deep space infection, not using selective antibiotics. In cat bite on hand that delayed appropriate treatment, the sooner diagnostic planning and aggressive surgical treatment begin, the better.
